The short version.

Atheon is built to analyze shopping product pages, compare prices, and flag misleading discounts. It only needs limited data to do that job, and this policy is written to reflect that exact purpose.

What we collect

Product page data

When you use the extension on a supported shopping page, Atheon may process the page URL, product title, price, seller, and page metadata required to run price analysis.

What we store

Settings and service logs

Atheon may store extension preferences, cached analysis results, and limited backend logs needed for security, debugging, and service reliability.

What we do not do

No selling data

Atheon does not sell personal data and does not use browsing activity for unrelated advertising or profiling outside the service’s core shopping-analysis purpose.

Your control

You can choose

Users can stop data collection by disabling or uninstalling the extension, clearing stored extension data, or contacting support with privacy requests.

1. Information we collect

Atheon collects only the information reasonably necessary to provide its website and Chrome extension features.

  • Shopping page information: product title, current price, seller name, page URL, canonical URL, pricing metadata, and related product-page signals needed to compare offers, show price history, and evaluate discounts.
  • Extension data: user preferences, UI state, and cached results stored locally or in service infrastructure to make the extension work consistently across sessions.
  • Technical and usage data: limited server logs, request timestamps, error events, IP-derived security data, and device or browser information required to protect the service, prevent abuse, and fix bugs.
  • Support information: any information a user voluntarily sends through support email or other direct contact channels.
Important Atheon is designed around shopping analysis. Data collected from product pages should be used only to provide the user-facing features described by the service.

2. How we use information

Atheon uses collected information to operate and improve the service.

  • Analyze supported shopping pages and generate price checks, comparisons, historical pricing views, and discount analysis.
  • Return backend results requested by the extension, including product matching, price history, and deal evaluation.
  • Store preferences and maintain reliable extension behavior across visits.
  • Monitor performance, investigate failures, rate-limit abuse, and protect the service from misuse.
  • Respond to support messages and legal or security-related requests.

Atheon does not use browsing activity collected for shopping analysis to build unrelated advertising profiles or for unrelated surveillance purposes.

3. How information is shared

Atheon may share information only in limited situations necessary to run the service or comply with the law.

  • Service providers: hosting, storage, database, logging, analytics, and infrastructure providers that help operate Atheon under contractual or operational controls.
  • Legal compliance: where required to comply with applicable law, enforce terms, respond to valid legal process, or protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers: if Atheon is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Atheon does not sell personal information.

4. Retention and security

Atheon keeps information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain price history and product analysis features, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations.

  • Local extension data may remain until the user clears extension storage or uninstalls the extension.
  • Backend data and logs may be retained for operational, reliability, fraud-prevention, and legal reasons.
  • Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect stored information, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where a user lives, they may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain information.

  • Disable or uninstall the extension at any time to stop future extension-based collection.
  • Clear extension storage through the browser to remove locally stored preferences and cached data.
  • Contact Atheon to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
  • If required by local law, users may also have the right to object to certain processing or request data portability.

Atheon may need to verify a request before taking action, and some requests may be limited where law or security obligations require retention.

6. Children’s privacy

Atheon is not directed to children under 13, and it is not intended for use by children where consent is required by law. If Atheon learns that it has collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, it will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

7. Changes to this policy

Atheon may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational improvements. When material changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
